You don’t live in Anguilla? You can donate through the Anguilla Progressive Association of New York, Inc., (APANY), incorporated in New York State as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization during 1996.
APANY creates and maintains positive socio-economic and cultural development partnerships between Anguillans at home and the Anguillans who have moved to other regions of the world. APANY is based on charitable “goodwill projects” to benefit children, youth, their families and senior citizens on the island nation of Anguilla.
Any donation is deductible the same year in which it is made. The contribution is considered paid when you put the check in the mail, or when it is charged to your credit card (not when you pay the credit card company). Make sure that your donation is made by December 31 for the year in which you plan to claim a deduction.
