Butterfly StoryWriting Competition 2020/2021

Our meeting on Thursday, September 17th was fun-filled as we launched the Rotary E-club’s Butterfly Story Book Competition for 2020/2021. We are happy to foster the creative writing skills of our youth and facilitate the opportunity for them to be published internationally. We had an evening of heart warming presentations that, with vivid imagery highlighted caribbean life and also spoke to the importance of literacy.

We want to especially thank Mr Micah Hughes and Miss Casey George and their parents for attending and wowing us with their awesome stories. Micah and Casey’s stories were selected along with one other from T’Nizha Willet from about 24 others and submitted as the entries for Anguilla. While the stories weren’t selected for the book they highly commended by the Rotary E-club.

We also want to thank Ms. Susan Hodge and Ms Genefa Fedee from our partner club the Toastmasters for making insightful presentations on literacy.
