Minutes from Club Meeting - July 2nd

July –New Leadership Month

The next two months we will be focusing on building member’s Rotary Knowledge and seeking to have everyone signed up on Rotary Central.  Our aim is to have as many of our members as possible engaged, active within the club and making meaningful contributions to our projects.  We would like all members to join one of the following committees:

  • Administration
  • Fundraising
  • Finance
  • Youth Services
  • Service Projects
  • Environment
  • Disaster
  • Foundation
  • Literacy
  • Rotary Information


We will also for the next months be putting plans in place for the rest of the Rotary Year so that we can continue to put service above self!!

      • Distributed a calendar and showed a slideshow discussing her ideas for the year
      • Board Member Training – July 11th
        • 9 am – 12 noon

      • PETS Seminar
        • Interests for 2020 – 2021 
          • Engage members with Committees, Flexibility, Innovation, Creativity, Projects, Fundraisers, Rotary knowledge, Conflict Resolution, Updated Bylaws & Constitution
        • Engagement & Vibrancy
          • Ideas and contributions for projects & fundraisers
          • Joining a committee
          • Learn more about Rotary
          • Fellowship Night (on the calendar)
          • Build partnerships
          • Increase membership (not just people we know, but those would contribute to the club)
        • Went over some of the important dates on the calendar
        • Gave everyone a bit of information about her
          • Loves to dance, sailing, boats, the ocean (but cannot swim).
          • Loves Anguilla & helping the community
          • Very shy and quiet
          • Loves nature and is very adventurous
          • Enjoys connecting with others and feels like Rotary matches her values.
        • The objective is to learn about all of the members

    • Funeral Services for Rtn. Allister’s mother
      • July 17th, 9 am – 7 pm (Viewing); 7 pm – 9 pm (Tribute)
      • July 18th, 9 am – 1 pm (Viewing); 2 pm (Funeral)
        • Funeral will be held at the Church of God of the of Holiness and the Sandy Ground Cemetery
      • Rtn. Allister requested donations be made to Rotary in lieu of flowers
          
    • Fellowship Evening will be held on July 30th (5th Thursday)
